A limited number of Cottage Licenses will be available for WAHM's within Australia
A PDF document will be emailed within 3 days of purchase of the cottage license to be signed and sent to the Licensor.
The following terms and conditions apply to the Cottage Industry License. • The licensor is the copyright owner of Ladybug Loops Baby Pants Pattern, Ladybug Loops Licensee Baby Skirt pattern, Ladybug Loops Busy Bee Soaker pattern, Ladybug Loops Sleeper Sack and any future patterns or modifications of the pattern lines. The works are owned by the Licensor and retains all rights to the development and sale of all designs construction from the pattern. • The Licensor grants a limited license to handknit from the pattern line with the following restrictions and requirements o The Licensee must pay an annual fee of $50 AUD for one 12 month limited license. o Licensee must submit a series of close up and full body photo’s of completed work using the pattern prior to approval. Additional photo’s may be specifically requested if not determined adequate by the Licensor o The Licensee agrees that all completed works must be handknitted at his/her home without any type of commercial production. o Any minor changes to the dimensions, finishes or shape must be specified to the customer before a sale has taken place, but does not need the approval of the licensor. A courtesy email would be appreciated. o The Licensee must gain written/electronic approval to make major changes to the pattern. This includes additional sizes or exclusion and addition to short rows, gusset changes, gauge alterations and consequential pattern shape. o The licensee will include the following statement and provided logo for each item created. “This item was handknitted using the Ladybug Loops patterns and is sold under a cottage industry license” o The Licensor will provide a jpeg file of the Ladybug Loops logo upon confirmation of acceptance as a Licensee. o The licensee agrees to provide his/her clients with fair and timely service if offering custom knits from the use of this pattern. o The licensee will offer items for sale including the finished unstretched measurements for rise, hips and inseam in addition to providing details of yarn base and colourway whether completed using commerical yarns or independent dyer's yarns. o The licensee is an independent contractor and is in no way an employee of Licensor. Licensor is in no way liable for any outcome of a knitting project. Licensee must take responsibility to create items to the best of his/her ability and assumes all risks including physical andeceonomical. o The Licensee is responsible for abiding by any current and future federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to their own home business as well as any and all laws and regulations that pertain to any manufacturing of goods they perform in their home and the sale of such goods. o The license is not an outright sale. Licensee shall exercise all due diligence safeguarding the aforementioned design and interests of the licensore and other license holders. o The licensor disclaims all liability for any losses or injuries due to the use or misuse of this pattern or the resulting items made from this pattern. o With the purchase of the license, the Licensor will include your name and website link on the Ladybug Loops congo store and blog. If at any time the licensee does not wish to be on this list or does not wish to continue with the license he/she should notify the licensor and tell the licensor to remove his/her name off the list. No refunds of unused license fees will be issued. This listing will expire 12 months from payment date unless further payment is made. o The licensor reserves the right to change requirements of this license from time to time. The licensee understand that to retain his/her license, he/she must agree to any and all requirements by the Licensor. o All license fees paid by the Licenesse go towards the for-proft use of the copyrighted pattern. No assistance of any kind is promised, guaranteed or provided by the licensor. o The Licensor make no promise or guarantee of any kind regarding any specific income or monetary gain derived from the for-profit use of her patterns. o If the Licensee violates any of the above terms or engages in any unethical business practice, Licensor reserves the right to revoke this license. o The Licensore reserves the right to refuse to sell a license to any person, for any reason. o If licensee wishes to partner with another individual business, the partner must also purchase the pattern(s) and license. • I agree to all the requirements listed above.
