4 leg shapes, straight; tapered; flared and bootleg.

Have you ever bought a pattern and then realised you have the wrong yarn for the job, or finished something and then thought "hmmm I'd like to do this in THAT yarn but I can't work out how to do the math to get the size I want with the yarn weight I want. Well 3 yarn weights in 4 sizes (plus instructions to make X large) is like buying 3 different patterns.

With so many options designed for the beginning in mind, as you become more skilled you can try out all the different options available. Add a cable, change the leg shape, use a more complex leg cuff. Omit the short rows if you want as well. Omit half the short rows for over disposables or a toilet trained little one.
