March 2009 Cloth Nappy Hunt

I promise to hide it a little easier this year.

I'm working on a few pieces and a few patterns during the hunt. Lots of dyeing is underway too.

Well after some busy months knitting I'm taking a few weeks off. I'll be re-opening and restocking from the 1st September. So looking forward to it. I just have to decide on my next theme. I have several idea's just have to decide which one will be first for spring.

It's 16th June already, the month has flown away. We've been dealing with sick kids so not as much knitting done as planned. As well as still testing a crochet pattern I've been designing.

Other things I'm working on includes a denim dress, overalls and denim jacket. So not much for the store this month at all. Several customs have been completed with a couple still on the way. It's time to upsize for my daughter too, so a few things for her on the boil as well.

I have some scrummy wool here just waiting to be knit up. Nothing to dye this month but next month will be a dyeing frenzy with some more nude merino and BFL on it's way to me.

Next stocking will be early July

It's been a busy month, several customs and testing a few patterns so I have had less up for sale than I planned. June will be fun though. I'm going for a mid month stocking, perhaps the end of the long weekend at this stage. More lovely squishy wool has arrived too. Can't wait until I get into it all.

I will be stocking April's knits on Sunday night 27th April.

It's been a busy month but I've loved knitting the rainbow sunrise skirt and longies.

I've also been test knitting Australian organic wool so May is going to so much fun with organic wool.

Lots of dyeing during April as well so many colours to inspire me.

Of course nothing is complete at Ladybugloops without a new pattern or two. I've tested and have ready a new crochet pattern. I can't wait to get several done now.

I'm Anne, a mama to 3 gorgeous children and knit in my spare time. It does actually get to a point they no longer need anymore knitteds and I've had many requests to knit what my children are wearing for other people.

The patterns I use are mostly designed by me and tested on several bubs before I bring it to you. Most knits will be 100% Australian or New Zealand wool.
I have heavily adapted the blu jeans pattern to accommodate modern cloth bums. To stay true to the original design I have called them mamabear blu jeans.

I've recently begun hand dyeing my own wool to get the exact and unique colourways I'm after. All dye's are colour fast but you may experience a little residual dye, don't panic though as it is not running and will not ruin when you hand wash gently.

I will be adding complete sets and matching sets in various sizes, sometimes it is nice to have your baby and toddler to be wearing similar colourways and matching sets. Of course this is completely up to you.
